Jim Fallows keynoted the opening plenary session of Achieving the Dream’s Dream 2020 conference on February 18, 2020.  Achieving the Dream’s vision, to “lead and support a national network of community colleges to achieve sustainable institutional transformation through sharing knowledge, innovative solutions and effective practices and policies leading to improved outcomes for all students,” aligns with the Fallowses’ reporting of the impact a strong community college has on a town.
